A dentist in Azerbaijan for patients travelling from abroad

Looking for a dentist in Azerbaijan while you live abroad? German Dental Clinic in Baku is a digital dental clinic working to German quality standards. It was set up in partnership with Dentsply Sirona: diagnostics, 3D scanning, a CAD/CAM laboratory and sterilisation are all in one building. For a patient travelling in, that changes the main thing — most treatment fits into a single trip, because the scans are not done at another centre and the crowns do not wait on an outside laboratory.

Before the trip

  • Describe the problem. Through the contact page, tell us what is bothering you and send any X-rays or CT scans you already have (ideally less than a year old).
  • A first indication. From what you send, the dentist gives a preliminary view of the likely treatment and whether it fits into one trip. The exact plan is only drawn up after an examination and diagnostics at the clinic.
  • Pick the dates. Choose the consultation time through online booking to match your travel dates. Check how many days the treatment needs before you buy tickets.

At the clinic: day one

  • All diagnostics on site. Panoramic X-ray and 3D CBCT on the Orthophos SL, an intraoral scan with Primescan, and chairside X-rays where needed (diagnostics). No referrals to other centres.
  • A written treatment plan. The dentist explains the stages, the order, indicative timelines and the alternatives. The plan is issued before treatment begins.
  • A schedule for your trip. The plan is fitted to the real length of your stay: what is done now and which stage moves to a later visit.

What fits into one trip and what needs two

  • Usually one trip: professional hygiene, fillings, root canal treatment (one or two appointments), and single crowns and veneers made in the clinic’s own laboratory (aesthetic dentistry).
  • Usually two trips: dental implants — the implant is placed on the first trip, and once it has integrated with the bone (this takes several months) the permanent crown is fitted on the second. The timing depends on diagnostics and the condition of the bone.
  • Long-term treatment: orthodontics and clear aligners run for months. The initial diagnostics and plan are done at the clinic, and review visits are scheduled around your trips.

An in-house CAD/CAM laboratory

The clinic’s digital laboratory is in the same building. The 3D scan from Primescan goes straight to design, the crown is milled on PrimeMill, and temporary teeth and splints are printed on Primeprint. Single restorations can be made within one appointment — with no wait while an impression travels to another city. On a short trip, that means the work is finished on this visit rather than “come back in a couple of weeks”. The full list of equipment is on the equipment page.

Languages

The website, booking and correspondence are in three languages: Azerbaijani, Russian and English. The treatment plan and documents can also be issued in one of these languages — say which you need when you book.

What you take home

  • The written treatment plan and a list of the work done.
  • X-rays and 3D CT scans as files — for your dentist at home.
  • If an implant was placed, the implant passport (the manufacturer’s sticker) — it may be needed years later at an examination in another country.
  • Aftercare advice and the date of the next review.

After you return

If a question comes up, you stay in touch with the clinic: send photos and a description through the contact page, the dentist answers remotely and, if needed, plans the next visit. Patients living in Baku can also use the clinic’s partnership with Mega Sığorta.

Frequently asked questions

How should a patient from abroad prepare for dental treatment in Baku?
First describe the problem and send any X-rays you have, then pick a consultation date that matches your trip. The exact plan and timeline are set after diagnostics at the clinic, so check how many days the treatment needs before buying tickets.

What treatment can be finished in one trip?
Usually professional hygiene, fillings and root canal treatment, as well as single crowns and veneers made in the clinic’s own laboratory. Dental implants usually need two trips, and orthodontics runs for months.

How many trips do dental implants take?
Usually two: the implant is placed on the first trip, and the permanent crown is fitted on the second once the implant has integrated with the bone. The gap is several months and is set for each case from the diagnostics.

How long does it take to make a crown?
A single crown is milled from a 3D scan in the clinic’s own CAD/CAM laboratory and can be made within one appointment. Bridges and multiple restorations take from a few hours to a few days — the timing is given when the plan is drawn up.

Which languages does the clinic work in?
Booking and correspondence are in Azerbaijani, Russian and English. The treatment plan and documents can also be issued in one of these languages.

What if a question comes up after I get home?
Send photos and a description through the contact page — the dentist answers remotely and, if needed, plans the next visit. X-rays and documents for your dentist at home are given to you as files.

Book a consultation — after the examination and diagnostics the dentist will explain the stages, the order and a schedule that fits your trip.
